When & where is the Fair held?
Since 1999, the Mauriceville Country Fair has been held on the 1st Sunday of December every year. Held at the beautiful Clarke Memorial Domain, 1270 Opaki-Kaiparoro Rd, Mauriceville, the Fair runs from 9am-4pm. Click here for the Google maps location.
What does it cost to enter?
A small entry fee of a $2 coin is required on entry for adults, but free for the kids as always. feel free to donate more if you are able!
Do you have eftpos and cash-out facilities?
eftpos facility is available for cash out. There is cell phone reception available for individual stallholders to use their own 4G eftpos devices.
Where can I park?
Parking is available on site for 700 vehicles. Our friendly, local fire service volunteers, will direct you to your park. There will be overflow parking available close by. If you don’t want to bring a car, we will have buses available throughout the Wairarapa.
Where can I catch a bus to the Fair from?
Buses will be leaving Martinborough and Featherston at 8.30am, stopping to collect passengers in Greytown, Carterton and Masterton. Return service will leave the Fair at 3.00pm. Check the bus timetable here.
Can I bring my dog?
As much as we love our furry friends, strictly NO Dogs are allowed, sorry. Dogs pose a potential Sheep Measles risk to our rural community!
What happens if it's raining?
No matter the conditions, the Fair must go on! If we get caught in the rain we will have disposable ponchos available (supply limited), most of our stalls have their own shelter. Pack a brolly and a sun-hat just in case!
